Hanging out at a distance

Online and Offline

Life is beautiful. We hope you are enjoying what the government calls ‘space with rules’ (and what we call hanging out at a distance) as much as we are. Whether it’s the re-learning of conversational skills, the decision to get dressed above the waist, or a meal out at long last, we’re all getting used to the new new new normal in our own ways.

To meet new people over things you enjoy doing, have a look at the selection of hangouts this week and feel welcome to join in.

Mindfulness, Truth & Nature of Mind

If you haven’t yet sampled the peace that meditation can bring to your life, Mindiverse’s bi-weekly session offers an opportunity to learn and begin to incorporate it into your day. It’s particularly of interest to those who want to go deeper and understand how mindfulness is situated within philosophy and neuroscience.

Take a moment out of the hustle and bustle with Mindiverse’s session. It’s free, online, and all are welcome.

Free Writing Workshop

How often the best ideas end up as scribbles upon crumpled paper, decisively thrown in the dustbin. How often they don’t even make it that far.

Janice is here to help. In this hour and a quarter workshop, she will guide the group through a series of exercises to inspire creativity and give you the support you need to relax and get things down on paper. Whether you’re an experienced writer, just starting out, or don’t consider yourself a writer at all but want to try something new, join Janice over Zoom and learn a little about self-expression.
